Virgin Media is a branch of the Virgin brand and offers customers in the UK fixed plans for mobile and house phone deals. The company also offer both broadband and television services to both public customers, and larger companies. The Virgin Media branch was created in 2006 by the Virgin Company and pronounces itself as a multimedia company. The founding of the Virgin Media company was a result of a merger between NTL and Telewest – both companies signed an agreement with Virgin founder Richard Branson, and the companies together became known as Virgin Media from then on. In the UK, the Virgin Media company own and run their own fibre optic network, which provides fast television and broadband services to over 4 million customers in the UK.
