Topshop Return Policy

Topshop is a British fashion retailer with around 500 stores. It operates internationally, but its largest market is the UK. Topshop was the first fashion brand in the UK to launch an online store. It sells clothes, shoes, and accessories primarily for young women. This includes its own designs and also products from other brands. Topshop is known for sponsoring London Fashion Week since the early 2000s. The brand brings fashion trends to the high street. If you change your mind about a Topshop product, follow the instructions below for how to return items to Topshop.

Topshop Return Policy

You have 28 days to return an item to a Topshop store, or 14 days from receipt to return by post. Some online items will only be returnable by post. They will specify this in the product description and on the despatch note. You must return all the items from a special offer to get a full refund of the value you paid. All return items have to be as new, with no signs of wear or use, and all tags and packaging intact. Topshop does not accept returns of underwear or swimwear without the hygiene seal. The same applies to cosmetics and pierced jewellery. You will only receive a refund or replacement for these items if they are faulty. Exchanges are only possible instore, subject to availability.

Topshop Return to Store

You can return Topshop products to any Topshop store in the UK and Ireland. Use your receipt or despatch note as proof of purchase and present the payment card to process the refund. You must be the cardholder to do this. The refund will be in the local currency, which means pounds in the UK and Euros in the Republic of Ireland. If you paid for an online order using Klarna, then you cannot return it in a store. Topshop concession collections are also only returnable by post. When you purchase from a Topshop store, you can return it to any Topshop store. This excludes Topshop locations within department stores. You can return items from department store locations to high street Topshop branches, but not the other way around. Unfortunately, Topshop does not allow returns of orders from the UK website to international stores. Store returns are the only way to get an exchange and the fastest for refunds.

Topshop Return by Post

You must return online orders by post within 14 days of delivery to get a refund. UK customers should receive free returns labels with their despatch note. International customers will have to pay for postage themselves. They have a long window of 28 days from postage for processing the return and issuing the refund to you. You will receive a confirmation e-mail when they issue your refund. To return to Topshop via post, repackage your items and include the returns form. Remove one of the free postage labels from the form and stick it onto the outside of the parcel before sealing it up. If you choose Royal Mail then you can take it to a Post Office. Or if you choose the Hermes label, then you can take it to a ParcelShop. You will need to keep the postage receipt in case your return gets lost.

Topshop International Returns

International customers in Europe have 30 days to return purchases from the Topshop UK website. This must be by post and at your own expense. Topshop stores outside the UK will not accept these online orders, and the delivery will not come with a free post returns label. You can create a label and pay online before posting the international return parcel. The same standards apply for acceptable returns in terms of quality and hygiene protection. Keep hold of the proof of postage, as international orders are more likely to go missing and you will not get a refund if you cannot prove that you sent the parcel back.  If you purchase from Topshop in your own country or any other European country, then the return policy for that country will apply instead. You should be able to return to stores.

Topshop Faulty Items

If products are not of satisfactory quality, then you can indicate this on the returns form and post them back for a refund. Alternatively, you can take items to a Topshop store if they are not fit for purpose and get an exchange or a refund. This is subject to restrictions in the returns policy regarding particular items which you can only return via one method. If they identify a manufacturing fault, then Topshop could arrange for a repair or replacement of the product. You can request a refund or an exchange for something of equal value if you prefer. If one item in a set becomes faulty, you must return the whole set. The standard return policy time frames apply for faulty items too.

Topshop Refunds

Topshop will always credit refunds back to the original method of payment. If you paid with cash, debit card, credit card, or gift card, then that is how you will receive the refund as well. It should be processed within 5 working days of Topshop issuing it, whether this was in a store or after receiving your parcel at their warehouse. They will only refund delivery charges, and only up to the cost of standard delivery, if you cancel and return an entire order. If you only return part of an order then you will not be entitled to a delivery refund. Contact Topshop customer services if you do not receive your refund, or the refund amount is incorrect, or if you no longer have the original payment card.
