Finding a delivery service for your particular situation can be difficult. If you rely on third-party websites to find a match, you may have heard of Shiply. Find out how to contact Shiply regarding their services below.
Shiply (not Shipley) is an online marketplace bringing transport businesses and customers together. Owner Robert Matthams founded the company in 2008 with the intention of maximising resources for transport providers. Carriers running certain routes can match with customers needing deliveries in the area. This is good for the environment because it reduces CO2 emissions. It is also more economical for the business and saves customers up to 75% on delivery costs. Outside of the UK, Shiply expanded to Germany in 2009, then to Spain, Italy, France, and the Netherlands in 2010. Today they also operate in Canada and Australia.
Contact Shiply for support from Monday to Friday with these phone numbers.

With more than 100,000 transport providers working through Shiply, finding one for your delivery should not be a problem. Shiply takes the stress out of the process because the delivery companies come to you. There is an appropriate service for whatever you need, from domestic to international shipping. Furniture, vehicles, fragile goods, or even pets – there is a Shiply Transport Provider for that. Call to learn how the booking process works.
To book a delivery, you will need to create a listing on the website. Transport Providers will then see your listing in the marketplace and can submit a quote. 98% of listings receive at least three quotes. Before accepting a quote, Shiply advises customers to use the messaging platform to discuss things with the transport provider. Call if you need help with this.
Payments for Shiply bookings might be a little confusing due to the separate stages. When you accept a quote, you must pay a deposit to secure the booking. There is also a small additional booking fee which will appear at the payment stage. You can pay this by debit card, credit card, or PayPal. Afterwards, you must settle the remaining balance you owe to the transport provider with them. Shiply is not responsible for these payments.
You do not have to create an account with Shiply to use the website. However, doing so is much easier for customers as it keeps a full record of bookings and messages. Shiply may delete some messages if their content breaches the terms and conditions of use. You can recover lost log-in details here, but if you still have any trouble then call. If you decide that you no longer want a Shiply account, you must call to request account cancellation. The support team can then delete it for you. Shiply does not store your financial information.
Shiply does not provide the transport services, it is merely a connection platform. If you have a courier or haulage business and are looking to make a bit of extra money, Shiply could be perfect for you. There are no subscription fees for using Shiply. You can search deliveries in the categories and routes you want. If you see a job you want to take, place a free quote. If the customer chooses you, you can then arrange the details and secure payment. Shiply will take the booking and deposit fees. You can also register online to begin using Shiply.
It could be about the deposit or additional fees, the quality of customer service from Shiply, or problems with their system. Contact your Transport Provider directly regarding delays, direct payment issues, or damage. If items are lost and you cannot resolve this with the delivery company, you should make a police report for theft. When your complaint is with Shiply directly, you should contact Trading Standards for further advice.
Shiply is somewhat active online, but mostly for news update purposes. If you send a tweet to @Shiply or leave a comment on their Facebook, a reply is not guaranteed. According to their Facebook page, they do normally reply to messages within a few hours. A more secure and direct way to contact Shiply is to send an e-mail to them at support@shiply.com. Otherwise, you can fill in and submit a Support Ticket through Shiply’s online help centre. They will usually reply to all e-mails within one business day. It is easy to get a quote for your delivery online without contacting Shiply. You can send complaints letters to the head office.
