How to cancel a Ryanair flight

Ryanair Refund Policy

Ryanair doesn’t offer a refund on flights, in most cases, but there is the option of changing your flights, which will incur a fee.

If you can’t make your flight you don’t need to tell Ryanair, also you can still use your return flight even if you don’t use the outbound flight.

Ryanair Flight Cancellation Policy

Whilst you can’t cancel your Ryanair Flights and expect a full refund, you can change them at a fee which is payable by you. You have up to two and a half hours before your flight is set to depart to make a change to your flight, this includes, dates, times, names and routes being changed. However, if you have already checked in on the flight you must phone Ryanair directly on the number above.

If you choose not to travel on your booked flight with Ryanair, and don’t change the flight, you cannot get a refund on the airfare, fees or charges. However, you have one month within the date of travel for a refund of the Government Tax you paid for the flight.

When requesting a Government Tax Refund there is an administration fee associated with it, and if your refund amount is less than the fee, no refund will be made.

If you wish to cancel your Ryanair flight there is no cancellation fee, because there is no refund given on cancelled flights. Ryanair Rebooking

You can make changes online to your Ryanair booking in the My Bookings section. Here you can change the date of your flight, or the route up to two and a half hours before the flight is scheduled to depart. You can also change the name on the flight up to two hours before the flight departs.

There is a fee involved with making these changes, however, and can vary each season.

You are applicable for a refund in the following situations, where your flight cancelled, when your flight has been delayed longer than three hours and you refuse to travel, death or serious illness, or the death of an immediate family member not travelling.
