House of Fraser is a department store chain in the UK and Ireland, with around 50 stores. Originally Arthur & Fraser and then Fraser & Sons, since establishing in Glasgow in 1849 the company grew into a national chain after World War II. House of Fraser has been through a lot of acquisitions over the years. Recently, the group began to close around 30 stores to alleviate their debt problems. Mike Ashley of Sports Direct paid £90 million in August 2018 to acquire the entire House of Fraser business. The future of the brand is not completely certain at the moment, but he claims that it is going to be “the Harrods of the high street.”

If you made a purchase in a store, you can return it to any House of Fraser within 14 days to get a refund. Up to 28 days, you can get an exchange or gift card for the same value. When you buy online, you have 28 days to return the order in a store or by post. If they receive it within 35 days, they will refund you with an eVoucher. Gift cards were available from House of Fraser for customers to buy as individual presents, or businesses to buy in bulk for employee or client benefits. Since the takeover of House of Fraser by Mike Ashley, their gift cards have been suspended. You can no longer redeem them in stores or online. To get a new gift card which you will be able to use, House of Fraser encourages customers to return their cards by post to: Gift Cards, 27 Baker Street, London, W1U 8AH, and they will send a replacement out to you. There are three types of Recognition Card available to regular customers at House of Fraser. The loyalty card is known as the Recognition Reward Card, allowing customers to collect 1 point for every £1 spent at House of Fraser. Rewards include a £5 voucher for every 500 points, access to exclusive events and offers, and bonus points for your birthday. The Recognition Account Card is no longer available to new members, but existing ones can keep earning 3 points for every £1 they spend at House of Fraser.
