About Bestival

Bestival is an independent annual festival in the UK. Rob da Bank created the festival in 2004, with help from his wife Josie as creative director. John Hughes, Ben Turner, and Ziggy Gilsenan were co-founders. Until 2017, the four-day festival took place at Robin Hill on the Isle of Wight. Bestival now takes place on the Lulworth Estate in Dorset. It has a reputation as a “boutique” festival due to the eclectic line-ups and unique attractions. It promotes environmental and social causes and has won several festival awards in the UK. In recent years, Bestival has taken the festival abroad to North America (Toronto) and Asia (Bali).

Customer Services

Tickets for Bestival each year go on sale in phases. You can buy them online from several different ticket providers, or call to book through Bestival. Only Ticketline offers a payment plan so you can spread the cost of your tickets across 15 weeks. If you have already bought a ticket, you will need to contact the ticket provider directly. Bestival will not have a record of the sale. You can call Bestival to ask about ticket prices before buying. Find out more about the festival and camping rules. This includes which items you cannot bring, how much alcohol Bestival allows, phone charging, and the Ambassador scheme.

Camping

Camping is an integral part of the festival experience for many people. Since it is a four-day event, most attendees prefer to stay onsite. Tickets include access to the main campsites. However, you can upgrade to a different campsite for an additional price. There are areas for caravans, camper vans, and trailer tents. For a unique “glamping” experience, there are boutique campsites and a pop-up hotel. Or you can go for a Camping Plus, Hospitality Camping, or Backstage Camping package. Levels of access and amenities vary by campsite. Call with any enquiries about booking to camp at Bestival over the weekend.

Accessibility

Bestival works with Attitude is Everything to make sure the festival is inclusive for any music fans with disabilities. Customers who buy a ticket but require assistance may get one free ticket for a personal assistant. You must apply online for this, and can only use the Accessible Campsite if the application is successful. Call and ask for the Access Officer, Liam. You can ask for more information about accessible facilities, including viewing platforms, toilets, and parking. You should also check the rules for assistance dogs or medication. Call this number or send an e-mail to accessibility@bestival.net.

Eco-Bonds

As a festival promoting environmental and social responsibility, Bestival encourages recycling. Those who attend are also encouraged to keep the park clean for people using it after the festival. As an incentive, if you purchase a ticket it will include an Eco-Bond surcharge. The Eco-Bond is a refundable £10, which you will get back if you clean up after yourself at the festival. You will be given a clear bag for recycling and a refuse bag for general rubbish, which you must return at the site. Call to claim back £10 if you could not find the Exchange Point. You could also find out how to register as an Eco-Bond volunteer.

Merchandise

Fans of Bestival who want to represent the festival in everyday life can buy merchandise online. If you go to Bestival and forget to buy merch there, you can always order something once you get home. There are t-shirts, hoodies, patches, mugs, towels, wristbands, keyrings, and programme packs still available. You can even order historical merchandise from previous years of Bestival. If you need to exchange a product or amend an address, call them. You can also send an e-mail to support@firebrandlive.com with any questions about merchandise. They can help with sizing, delivery times, and shipping costs worldwide.

Complaints

Should you have a negative experience at Bestival, call to make a complaint. You can also call before attending Bestival if you are unhappy with treatment from customer services. Bestival aims to provide a positive experience for everyone. Staff and organizers appreciate any feedback they can use to improve the festival. Make suggestions for changes you would like to see if you were to attend again next time. Your reason for complaining may be lack of accessibility or poor medical support. It might be about the conditions in the campsites, including toilets and showers. Or even festival security or staff behaviour.
